Removal and re-fitment of the center seat can result in serious personal injury. Extreme caution must be taken while removing and refitting it.

The center seat is made up of the seat and the seat base. It is recommended to remove the seat from the base first and then remove the base from the van. It is more convenient to work from behind the seat.

|
1. Flip back rest down by pulling on strap1 and pushing the backrest down. (See figure 1 and 2)
|
 |
|
2. To start removing the seat from the base, remove the 2 quick release pins located at the bottom rear part of the seat on either ends. See Figure 3 and 4
|

|
3. Pull on strap 2 (see figure 1 and 5) and lift up the front of the seat to release the front seat locks from the base part. Lift the seat up and away from the base

Removal of seat base
|
|
1. The seat base is held in position by 2 retractors and 1 toggle clamp on either side. See figure 7 and 8 .Note the toggle clamp position

2. Move the toggle clamp handle to the front-on both sides, to unlock the clamp from the L track. Fig 10 shows the clamp in the unlocked position
|

|
3. To remove the base, lift the lock plunger on the rear retractor on both sides and slide the fitting rearwards while lifting the assembly out of the track. Continue sliding the base backwards until the front retractor clears the slot in the front of the base. See figure 10, 11, 12

4. Once the front retractor clears the slot and the rear retractor is out of the L-track lift the base up as shown in Figure 13.The front retractor remains in the L track on both sides .See Fig 14.

Re fitment of seat
|
|
1. Slide seat base on to the L-track with the front slots on base facing the front retractor. See Figures 15, 16
|

|
2 To lock the rear retractor to the L-track, push down and slide the retractor fitting in the forward direction along the L-track until the spring-loaded plunger is seated into the track. Both the left and right retractors should be located the same distance from the front of the fibreglass floor. See Figure 17
3. Push the base forward after aligning the slot in the front of the base with the bolt protruding from the front retractor which is located at the front end of the L track. Push evenly on both sides until the bolt bottoms into the slot. Ensure that the rear retractor is properly locked in the L track. Move the toggle clamp handle rearwards to lock the base to the L track. See figure 18.

4. Bring in the center seat from rear .Holding the seat at an angle, locate the protruding rear mounts on the seat with the slots in the seat base rear end and line up the holes for the pin. See figure 19, 20, 21

5. Insert quick release pins through the holes and push until they click in place.
6. Drop down the front end of the seat firmly so that the jaws on the front legs lock on to the rods on the base.
