Vehicle Seating3.1 Seating Configurations and Carrying Capacities
The wheelchair ramps on Liberty’s Routan accessible vans can accept a maximum weight (wheelchair and occupant combined) of 1000 lbs. However, for safe operation, vehicle operators should ensure that the gross vehicle weight (GVWR) and maximum axle weights (GAWRs) are not exceeded. The above figure provides a guide to help ensure that the maximum weights are not exceeded for various driver and passenger combinations. These weights are based on a vehicle GVWR of 6050 lbs, a front GAWR of 2951 lbs, and a rear GAWR of 3101 lbs. If your vehicle has weight ratings that are lower than any of these values, please contact Liberty for clarification for your situation. |
