1. Use the handle found on the left or the right of the short section of the ramp to lift the ramp upwards to the almost vertical position before folding the short ramp section into its retracted position. The magnets will hold the short section tight against the long section.

Keep all body parts away from the hinge and the ramp mechanisms. Personal injury may result if caution is not used during the operation of the ramp.

2. Stand behind the ramp and push forward to close and lock the ramp. Keep hands in the anti-slip area to avoid potential injuries.

3. If the ramp does not close completely then unlock and re-open the ramp as outlined in Section 2.1 and begin Section 2.4 again. Increase the force used to push and latch the ramp closed on each successive attempt at closing ramp. Repeat as necessary.
