1. Before deploying the ramp, ensure the vehicle is in park, with the ignition off, and on a section of unobstructed level ground to allow for safe loading of the wheelchair occupant.

2. You must push the top edge of the ramp inwards as you pull either of the two latch releases upwards. This will ease unlocking of the ramp latches. Once the latches release, use the handle found on the left or the right of the ramp to draw the ramp away from the vehicle. Unfold the short section as you continue to lower the ramp to the ground, as illustrated.

3. Once the ramp has been lowered, the wheelchair passenger can be escorted up the ramp and into the vehicle. Wheelchair occupants must not attempt to enter or exit the vehicle unassisted.

MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE WEIGHT ON RAMP IS 1000 lbs

4. The wheelchair passenger must be seated in a forward facing direction, in the centre of the vehicle.

5. Once the passenger has been safely positioned, lock the wheelchair in place by applying the wheelchair brakes.

Never attempt to enter the vehicle in a wheelchair unless being assisted by a person capable of guiding the wheelchair up the ramp and into position for safe transportation.
