4.2 Footplate Installation

- Take the provided threaded rod and L-track mount and install them into the vehicle as shown. The L-track mount should be positioned with the threaded rod at the 13th hole from the front of the track (approximately 13” from the front of the floor).
- Install the second threaded rod assembly on the opposite side in the same position as the one in the previous step.
- Place the spare tire on the fibreglass floor with the crown of the rim facing upwards and the tires’ tread in contact with the front wall of the fibreglass floor.
- Place the footplate assembly on top of the spare tire. The two threaded rods should pass through the holes in the footplate and the small disk on the bottom of the footplate should rest in the crown of the spare tire.
- Fasten the footplate by installing the two 3-armed knobs onto the exposed threaded rods.

4.3 Slope Adapter Removal (if equipped)
|
- To remove the optional slope adapter, use the supplied wrench to unscrew the single, centrally located, attaching bolt. The wrench can be found in the pouch of the vinyl spare tie cover.
- Lift the slope adapter out of the vehicle after unscrewing the single attaching bolt.
- Attached to the underside of the slope adapter is a shorter bolt with a rubber washer. Remove this bolt from the slope adapter and place it in the floor to seal the hole that was exposed after removing the longer slope adapter mounting bolt.
- The longer slope adapter mounting bolt can now be attached to the underside of the slope adapter where the short bolt was located. The long mounting bolt can remain there until the slope adapter is reinstalled.
- To reinstall the slope adapter, reverse the process of its removal.

4.4 Routine Maintenance
|
|
Routine inspection for obvious signs of damage is all that is required to ensure the safe operation and long life of your conversion. The Liberty Motor Company conversion is designed to be maintenance free for the life of the vehicle

|
4.5 Towing
|
|
Due to the lowered floor design of the Liberty Motor Company wheelchair accessible conversion, there is an increased risk of damage to the rear of the vehicle as a result of towing. In the event that your vehicle requires a tow, it is recommended that a flatbed tow truck be used.
